It is like Yoga for your home. The translation of the word “Yoga” is “union”; the union between body, mind and spirit. A “home loving” session with me is much the same; we will create a union between you, your home and your possessions.
Sometimes our “stuff” can create tension (mental and/or physical). This added stress in our lives can occur simply by having too much stuff, having unhelpful stuff or even the simple problem of having our stuff in unhelpful locations. I will assist you in deciding what stuff best suits you and your home and what can be parted with. I will also give you tools to help you create “stuff” homes so you can find your things when you need them. I am empathetic, intuitive, resourceful and creative. I combine tools from my Mindfulness, Personal Growth and Yoga practices with effective and flexible Decluttering skills. I adapt to your needs - I can be onsite to support you through the whole project and/or I can give you tasks to do on your own time. And, in case you have regrets or realize released items belong to other people, I hold all items for 24 hours (except perishable items and any oversized items that are taken via pickup truck).

Mindful Decluttering IS NOT:
- living in a sparse or empty home (unless that is what you really desire).
- getting rid of precious items (unless that is what you want). - "once and done". Clutter, like most things in life, ebbs and flows between chaos and order, and it is ever evolving. What i don't do:
I do not make decisions for you. I do not rush the process.
If you want someone to just come in and take stuff away, try a hauling service or try a different decluttering approach. I am here to teach you tools and techniques to make peace with your stuff - tools that you might use for the rest of your life. I do not take sides. I do not condone getting rid of other people's stuff when they are not at home. I do not take what has not been freely given. If you are having issues with a partner/roommate/family members' stuff, ask them to join us or seek outside communications support (mediator, therapist, etc). I do not sell your stuff for you, nor will i buy things from you. I donate reusable items to local thrift stores. I occasionally re-home things to people i know are in need of certain items. I recycle what is recyclable. I discard the rest. |
